Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2, 2026 · Last updated: August 19, 2026

Parsio is a document-intelligence app built by Rijnera, a company registered in the Netherlands. We translate, summarise, and let you chat with documents and photos you upload. This page explains what data we hold, why we hold it, and how you can remove it.

We wrote this in plain language. If you spot something unclear, write to info@rijnera.com.

1. Who is the data controller

The data controller for your personal information is Rijnera, a company based in the Netherlands. Contact: info@rijnera.com.

2. What we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google (or with email and password), we receive your email address and display name from Firebase Authentication. This identifies your account and is required for the app to work.

Documents and photos you upload

Parsio lets you upload PDF, Word, and text files, and photos or screenshots from your camera or photo library. When you upload a document or photo:

Subscription and purchase information

If you subscribe to Pro or Max, your payment is processed entirely by Google Play Billing — Parsio and our subscription provider never see your card number or other payment details. To keep your subscription working across devices and verify your plan, we use RevenueCat, which receives your account ID and your purchase/subscription status (for example, that you hold an active "Pro" entitlement). Your current plan (Free, Pro, or Max) is also stored in your Firestore account record.

Usage counters

We store a monthly counter of how many documents you have uploaded. This counter is keyed to your email address (not your account ID) so we can enforce fair-use limits consistently, including across account deletion and re-signup. This counter contains no document content — only a number, a month key, and the email used.

Crash and analytics data

To keep Parsio stable and improve it, we use Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Firebase Analytics (feature usage events such as "document uploaded" or "paywall shown"). These services collect device identifiers, operating system version, and app version. They do not include the content of your documents or your AI conversations.

Push notification tokens

If you allow notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token associated with your account so we can deliver in-app announcements.

Waitlist email

If you tap "Notify me" on a paid plan that is not yet released, we store the email you provide along with the plan you expressed interest in, solely to email you once when that plan launches.

3. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers we need to run Parsio:

When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses published by the European Commission.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your documents and account data for as long as your account exists. There is no automatic deletion after a period of time. You remove your data by:

Two narrow exceptions apply:

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (if you are in the European Economic Area), the UK GDPR, and the CCPA (if you are a California resident), you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@rijnera.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Parsio is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to info@rijnera.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

All network traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted with HTTPS. API keys for AI services are stored server-side (Firebase Secret Manager) and are never sent to your device. Firestore access is restricted by server-side security rules so users cannot read each other's documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we take industry-standard measures to protect your data.

9. Cookies and tracking

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. If you visit parsio-20b7e.web.app, Firebase Hosting may set a small number of functional cookies for performance. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Parsio evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in-app before the change takes effect.
